You're welcome, Kate. If we had started out this way right from the start it would have been more effective, although it's not too late yet. Technically speaking, the original Marshall Plan didn't avert war, it was only instituted after we destroyed Germany and Japan, wreaking terror on Dresden, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki unlike any before. The idea here is to institute a Marshall Plan *first* instead of massive destruction. All we are saying is give peace a chance. -Fred
