I have appreciated Pat Metheny since I was given a cassette years ago by
someone who liked country only and was sent his cassette in one of those
record of the month type deals. She gave it to me and said I think this is
right up your alley. Right she was!! I purchased "Speaking of Now" just
yesterday. My sister stopped in and said who is that you have playing? I
told her the easily recognizable Pat,Pat Metheny and group or trio.(she
said... I like that! This coming from someone who, well, there is nobody
else in her music world but....Steely Dan) Why does it not surprise me that
Pat taught at Berklee at the ripe old age of nineteen? :-) I always feel
like I'm on a fast moving train or in a fast paced car whenever I hear his
music.....never a airplane though.. because once up in the high altitude you
don't really see much.

His music for me has no boundaries.....the perfect example on *SON* would
be...."Whenever You Go".....just as amazing... "As It IS".....You
say....*Proof*

PS.Fred, I misplaced the printout I had of your music. If you would be so
kind, would you E-mail the list to me again?
