i loved that neil young interview victor..this attitude he has, of reaching beyond the notes...i think its what make his performances (at least recently) so incredibly powerful...its something that he is doing internally that just gets transported into the audience...its not the music per se...it is something more...going through the wall, that is what he does...i think that may be why he doesn't do the meet & greet after a show...he's still over on the other side
>I think that the original is a comparison, viz, "Architecture is frozen music," or some such.< This above always made sense to me...music is math (well its much more of course, but in its basic form, it is math...& architecture is also math...so when something is built then it becomes a form that in a sense is frozen...music on the other hand is not...its the other end of the mathematical spectrum...more mutable, changeable at any moment..still the relationships are always mathematical... ******************************************** Kate Bennett www.katebennett.com sponsored by Polysonics Discover the Indies at Taylor Guitars: http://www.taylorguitars.com/artists/awp/indies/bennett.html ********************************************
