Hi Garrett-I understand the points you made and have heard these. But no one has yet explained why Husseien wants his country wiped off the face of the earth. By no stretch of the imagination can he destroy the USA. There is no way he has a whole host of missiles aimed at them. Whatever he has, it is limited, and if he use it, that is it for Iraq. So why do the USA nd the UK want to go to war now? There has to be more to this.
The similalrity with Germany isn't really there, as has been discussed on UK tv. Germany after WW1 was so punished that the people were oppressed. this enabled someone like Hitler to come to power, offering the Germans hope and pride. His 'arien race' crap was ignored, after all it was only Jews, queers, gypsys, the handicapped he was against so why bother with him? WW2 did not come about because the UK and others wanted to save these people, it was because Hitler invaded Poland. The Holocaust was only discovered during the war, it wasn't the reason for it. And the UK and USA and others have a hand in what happened. Refugees were turned away from the USA. The rhetoric of Hitler was ignored. Getting back tot he Iraq comaprison-Germany had POWER and was able to fight a long war. Iraq could fight a war for 5mins.
