I think that the Administration is framing Iraq as an Enemy because we didn't find/kill/capture/conquer Osama bin Lauden. By renewing an old straw man, we are focussed on winning the Next Big Fight. This helps the previous ass-kicking becomes a memory more quickly.
Does anyone discuss that we are borrowing money to merely pay the interest on the national debt? I didn't think so. Who wants to concentrate on the really, really big problems when we can focus on hating a tiny dictator who is not a real threat to us. It's so easy to do. Lama
