Late again as always...
"Garage" is one of those words that is pronounced
several different ways depending on where you're from.
Even in my own family, my sister pronounces it
"GaRAJ" ("J" like the G's in "George", rhymes with
Badge); I pronounce it "GarRAWZh" ("zh" like the "s"
in pleasure"). Most Brits I've heard say it pronounce
it "GARage" to rhyme with "carriage".
