There is a real Sharon (Sharon Bell) and she was a childhood friend of
Joni's. I think they were friends in Maidstone (I think Ashara has video
footage of photos of Joni and Sharon on the last Video tree). Joni sang SFS
in Atlanta during the TTT tour and introduced the song by saying that she and
Sharon have traded places in life (meaning that she thought that Sharon would
be the singer and that her life would resemble Sharon's). I don't really
know much else. Perhaps someone else on the list does.
