Okey, I'll give it a shot:
Captain Beyond
Stephen Stills-Illegal Stills
David Bowie-Alladin Sane
Deep Purple-Machine Head
Doug Kershaw
XTC-about any of them
Iron Butterfly-Innagadadavida
Klaatu
Little Feat - Feats Don't Fail Me Now
Montrose
Naked Raygun?
Plasmatics-Metal Priestess
Poco-Good Feeling
Renaissance-Lots of their stuff
Sex Pistols
Steely Dan-Gaucho
Steve Miller-Sailor
Supertramp-Breakfast in America
Talking Heads-Little Creatures
Todd Rundgren-A Wizard, A True Star
Uriah Heep-Sweet Freedom
Yes-Close to the Edge, Yes Album
This was much tougher than I thought. And, I'm sure some of these
have some somber moments. I remember that Phil Collins said that
Genesis never recorded a happy song until "Follow Me, Follow You in
1978! That's pretty amazing.
