i hear that loud and clear. paz says dave matthews says his songs are all
about drinking and screwing. of course both of those could lead to a
personal hell, but like the say in sunday school, the pathway to hell is
paved with good intentions.
paula cole sings songs that are pretty up beat except for the one on 'this
fire' where she sings..call me a liar ..i'll call you a mother fuc*er...(hi
jan) . then i think jonatha brooke is pretty happy except for the one where
she's trying to lose some weight. now i love natalie merchant but man, that
girl goes dark and deep. her friend michael stipes is happy and shiney.
and peter gabriel is pretty up beat except for 'digging in the dirt', and
then between 'sledgehammer', 'shock the monkey', and 'kiss that frog',..i
think the man has a
penis thing going. i think steven stills songs are happy songs while neil
young's are not. and of course, joni's t.i. was very dark while t.t.t. was
very happy. i think it's a life cycle thing.
