OK, so this post wasn't about me, which was my first thought on reading the
subject line!
Carole King (as others have mentioned) leaps to mind, especially the album
"Welcome Home" - one song has the lines:
"When the morning sun comes shining through my window
And it's good to be alive
Gonna be a golden day, wings unfolding day
Green trees, blues skies"
They don't come much happier than that. Although I agree with wallyk -
she's a little TOO optimistic sometimes, and her lyrics almost seem banal in
comparison to Joni!
Another album that the music sluts all know ;o) is the Starland Vocal Band's
self-titled album - very happy songs, eg. Afternoon Delight!
