<<"One Step Closer" and
"Minute by Minute" with Michael MacDonald still give me the chills. >>
While I think bits & pieces of those are great, (and Livin' On The Fault Line
as well) they don't move me like the Tom Johnston Doobs. I just love his
"awk", and I'm a sucker for the chunka-chunka guitar! They were from San
Jose if my memory serves me correctly...
<< There is a vinyl Doobies album that I picked up in the late 70s that has
some of
their earliest stuff, outtakes and demos on it. Do you have this one or
have you heard of it? I've got it packed away but can easily dig it out if
you want more information.>>
I think I know what this is Kakki...I actually had this myself at one point,
and sold it after I recorded parts of it as filler on tape. I remember being
so awed by the original version of "Another Park, Another Sunday" (what a
gorgeous tune!) with alternative lyrics. I'd love to hear that record again.
If you dig it out, let me know...
