It has always struck as ironic that

Maybe it provides her with some sort of balance.  For someone who is so
incredibly creative, perhaps it serves as a release somehow, as some equal
and opposite energy.  But then again, she's only human and has the same
needs and cravings as anyone else.  Maybe its her "tragic flaw".
