As a non-smoker, I do respect that others have their own path to health. I 
agree with Joni that people need to mind their own business.

HOWEVER, it less that she is a "poor" role model and more that she seems to 
insist to smoke regardless of where she is. If you watch the Saskatoon 
videos, there she is, smoking in a "smoke free" art gallery. Why? 

If you watch the TNN Tribute to Joni Mitchell, there she is, puffing away in 
a theater that is "no-smoking." Pretty darn rude to the other people in the 
theater to say nothing of a safety hazard.

No matter how much I like Joni and admire her art, having her puff away in a 
space where I expect to see smoke free would have me calling her on it and 
fast.
