Too true!

John does not like to go to the cinema where he cannot smoke. It doesn't bother
me. i can happily go without. It alos provides me with a good guide as to how
good the movie is - if I startt to want a cigarette it isn't that good!
You cannot smoke of aircraft anymore. My trip to Boston back in 97, 7 hours
without a fag. BUT I was far too scared to have smoked one anyway! Strange I
know, but if I am reallly uptight, I can't smoke, nor drink nor eat.

Smoking isn't good, obviously, but the risks associated with it are far, far
less than some would have us believe. There was research done here that siad
that smokers overestimate by far the risks of it.

You know, we aren't supposed to smoke, eat red meat, fat(and i am someone who
eats a huigh fat, high protein, low carb diet whose choleseterol has gone DOWN),
we are supposed to excercise daily(when studies have shown that 1 hr's walking
ACCUMULATED in one week is enough for your heart, and in fact 1 hr or so in the
gym a day does not make your heart any fitter than that 1 hr walking!).

It is time doctors and people face d the fact that we are all mortal and
therefore we will all die and their is nothing we can do about it.
The modern climate of constant health warnings pours a lot of neagtivity into
our consciences, makes people worry about it which is not good for health!
People will always die prematurely for a host of reasons. We have constant ads
here ont v etc dstating that 1 in 3 people will get cancer. Now that is not
helpful. Instilling fear of this sort is not helpful.

Look after your heart and die of cancer. I know which i'd rather die with.

Due to the health climate, people now feel guilty for getting sick as it must be
their fault! Poo! So they think if they become good, follow this recipe or that,
this philosophy or that, they will recover. When they don't they die with guilt
and shame for having got sick. Bad.

Instead we should live today the best we can, take care of ourselves reasonably
without obesssion, and be thankfuul we surbvived another day. None of has the
right to live a day, let alone 90 years. Be thankfull for what we have. I have
lived 42 years, it amazes me. i might live another hour, another 42 years, who
knows? But I will live whatever I have the best I know how, and be happy and
grateful. I know what misery is and it ain;t worth it and it is somewhat
optional! It takes a lot of hard work to change but it is well worth the effort.
Life is for enjoying, and those of us who are in fortunate circumstances, sould
take every advantage of that and be grateful for our blessings. At least we are
not the victims of genocide or famine or war right now.
