My first day na WAR as Stephen John welcome me with one heavy slap wen i no
go fit forget for my life...WHY????
Na dat slap begin my learning of pidgin english.
Before that day, all I ever knew was QUEEN's English.
Well, today I don become grand master of di language.
yeah, CSSJ na solid breeding ground I tell you.
Today, I hardly talk bout my other schools.
Na only to tell people say I be ex-boy Command Jos and there lies my
story..SHIKENA.

I was only 3 months old in my mother's womb waiting to be born on this day.
Whao! Cant even imagine or remember how it is in there.
My first day in command was historic, cos that was the day Nigeria came from
4-0 behind in Saudi 89' to beat USSR. It was during mid term in 89" i remember
that day like yesterday. All i wanted to be was a military man, though I got
other schools but chose command jos cos its in Jos and its a mixed school. That
same day I met Tunji Adefala 89, Ibrahim Tijani 89, Victor cletrus 89, Lanre
Akinola 94 etc. Ok ok touch your toe nko, Bull Dog, I beg e too pletnty to
think of.
Can you imagine those early morning drills in the quartrangle, beans with
stones that served as meat, rushes to dinning hall and Tuck shop, Action for
pap and akara.
Dragon Huose was the dreadest of all Hostels, they will kill you man, beat
and re-arrange you, Muhamed Gambo 89, Edwin Imolehin 89 and my cousin Wole
Ogunniyi 89 in Octopus house. etc. Command defined what we all are today, it
made us a never giving up people who can survive in any circumstance.
We thank God almighty for his love and protection over us, its he alone that
deserves all glory for 30 years.

I was barely a year old.
Didn't I was going to be a commando
Stepping into CSSJ was an experience.
Had seniors already in CSSJ before me so I came with
some confidence in me.
CSSJos cold was my first concern and the early morning
jogging.
Now the saying goes, " if you can survive commandjos,
then you can survive anywhere in the world"
The results are there to see.
