So I tried downloading a custom theme yesterday several times to no
avail.  Kept getting "smoothness" (I think).

I noticed that the bug mentioned in the first post is marked as fixed
6 weeks ago.  Is there something I need to do to apply said fix?

Or is the fix you said was coming on May 4th still coming?
