Harry Metske commented on JSPWIKI-50:
-------------------------------------
- I loaded all jspwiki pages in the test environment (4023 pages, 47507 OLD
pages).
- Cleaned the work dir, set the proper file ownership.
- Started the wiki with the default value of jspwiki.cachingProvider.capacity
(1000)
- (a lot of error msgs about missing plugins, but that's no problem).
- Invoked the Lucene SearchManager MBean reload().
- Did some checking with pages and searches, all looks fine (except missing
attachments).
If I now invoke the Recent Change plugin, my response time is about 1 second,
on www.jspwiki.org the response time is much more (> 30 seconds).
The box that it's running on is a Toshiba M1 laptop, Intel Mobile 1.4 GHz with
1 GB real memory)
So a few questions:
- What hardware is www.jspwiki.org running on ?
- What Java version is Tomcat running ?
- Could you send me a copy of your jspwiki.properties ?
> RecentChanges plugin is slow

> RecentChanges plugin gets awfully slow once the repository gets big enough.
> It might be a good idea to cache something or do some other performance
> optimizations.
