A few months ago, I discovered a fee access point at Armadillo Grill in Carrboro. Don't remember the details, but I suspect it was set up by one of the other tenants in the building and it just leaked over into Armadillo Grill. I have not been there in a few months, so I don't know if it's still there or not.
Now, if only Elmo's would put in WiFi access, I'd be set!

At least some of the eight or so Bear Rock Cafes in the Triangle have free WiFi hotspots. I have used the hotspot at the Morrisville Cafe and I have seen a sign for the service at the Cary Cafe. I have suggested to Bear Rock that they list themselves in WiFinder.

Subject: [Juglist] WiFi hotspots
I just checked 'wifinder.com' for hotspots in Durham and the list was pretty
small. Same for Raleigh, especially with 'free' as a constraint.
If you know of a WiFi hotspot that isn't listed, you can add one to the
directory. Please feel free to build the list... I need more places to drink
coffee and work at the same time. ;-)
