It’s kind of strange, Chapel Hill had the first (and first to close ;-)) internet café but has less wireless than say Durham...

A few months ago, I discovered a fee access point at Armadillo Grill in Carrboro. Don't remember the details, but I suspect it was set up by one of the other tenants in the building and it just leaked over into Armadillo Grill. I have not been there in a few months, so I don't know if it's still there or not.
Does anyone know if Starbucks on Franklin has wi-fi access?
