Let me know and I'll follow up on each of these minus the last (ever since
the nice lady left MCNC has been kind of a pain so its your turn ;-) )

This seems ideal (if the money is right): http://www.carolinatheatre.org/
It isn't quite as convenient as MCNC was but no where NEAR as inconvenient
as some place in Raleigh. (Assuming most people are coming from RTP,
RTP-Raleigh at 6:00 Monday is a real pain through traffic) The best thing
is that parking is easy (big garage, $2 or along the street).

I also know the Durham Armory (same general area) has a "have you next
meeting here" sign though I don't know the status. Traffic from RTP to
downtown durham is not bad (147 is lovely).

Next, I can check with Blue Coffee Co. They have two locations, on in
downtown durham and one on 9th. The location in downtown durham has some
limited areas, but I don't know that its big enough. The one on 9th has a
second floor they've rented out before (but this might require social
causes, I'm not sure). We'd need to buy a projector but that might not be a
bad idea and they aren't as expensive as they once were.

Next, Cisco might be able to help us out if there are a few Cisco employees
who are willing to co-sponsor. I'd favor something more stable though
(might be hard to always get the same meeting room, etc). When I was there
I arranged this with relative ease once I found the right internal web page
for Pragmatic programmers, but I choose the venue poorly ;-). Its also
possible that it could be arranged with the CiscoTV people who might
actually want to put it on the IP TV stuff for their folks. We'd need Cisco
folks to follow up on this though.

Next, any of the local and less busy hotels could be a good option, but
Monday might not be the best day for them. I suspect Tuesday or Wednesday
would be better.

Finally, Find out if MCNC is 300% more for the location or the projector.
IIRC the projector costs about as much as the location. Thus buying a
projector might bring it back into scope for us.
