Hi,
The problem they experience sounds like it results from Big Sur. I have
two thoughts.

First, I need Apple to work with Jupyter and it has been problematic to use
it under Anaconda in the previous OS, Catalina. It's never completely
worked right. I have a G9. My older mac works flawlessly but Catalina has
never done so.

So guess what? I upgraded it to Big Sur hoping that would fix the issues.
So it is very disappointing to find that things are getting worse.

Should I just throw the G9 away? Go buy a good Windows system?

Second, and more importantly, Apple should know immediately that there is
an issue. Of course, Apple should have people who test this. Maybe they
have and maybe if we report the problem they already know a solution. It's
worth finding out?

If Apple changed something aand it broke then we would need to find out how
that happened,

I kind of need this. Catalina with its directory structure issues has not
been nice for dealing with Anaconda in general I can go without Anaconda.

I can't go without Jupyter.

Cheers,

Rich
