Hi

Welsh is a form of gaelic and that predates english in all it's forms by
several centuries if not millennia.
The celts were thought to have originated in what is now upper Hungary and
migrated slowly via Greece to Egypt then along the North African coast
crossing the land bridge between modern day Morocco and Spain. They then
moved north in to France and the low countries until they crossed the North
sea and forced the Beaker people in to the outer regions like Cornwall and
Scotland gradually being absorb in to the Celtic tribes and became the
ruling class until the Romans arrived.

It's wonderful what D.N.A can tell us about the migration patterns of our
ancestors.
Of course it helps to have a history that stretches back further than 1492
A.D. !

Cheers
