May may ID'ed the issue..... After reading your last comment I goggled the issue. Found an article regarding Outlook and this winmail issue.....I checked settings as article suggested in Outlook 2007..they where set as suggested. Article went on to read, be sure to rename/delete Outlooks .nk2 file ...I renamed the file...old.nk2.... Sent a pdf attachment using outlook to Android phone...and it appeared as a PDF attachment and opened using Adobe Reader. As the article read, when I re-opened Outlook it created a new .nk2 file. I also found a winmail extractor at the playstore...and it did open the winmail but required several steps outside of K-9 to open it. I hope this fixed it......
