I am 100% sure you are right, but as a 'simple end-user' I am afraid I am a
bit 'lost' when it comes to matters like imap, exchange servers and stuff.
Currently I have nothing in my junk or spam boxes (what is the difference?)
so I can't try it out.
But, as a workaround for not marking mails as 'not junk/spam' would it not
be possible then to have something like 'move to inbox' ?
After doing that, the mail from that mail address would then be marked as
'safe' and will not be landing in the junk/spam box anymore.
The other way around: mail that is spam/junk, moved to junk/spam folder
will then marked that way accordingly in the future.
Just an idea, maybe it isn't possible or way too complicated.

'They' say that IMAP has much advantages over POP3,which I am currently
using for my Outlook 2013 on my pc.
Hm... I checked K-9 and think it is using IMAP...

It is off-topic, most of the times I use my email client, i.e. Outlook and
store a lot of mail there. Move mails to 'archive' mailboxes (.pst) every
few months. My inbox currently counts 2000+ mails (yes, I need to do some
reorganizing again). 'They' say that in such cases POP3 is better then.
Client is set to remove mails from the server after 9 days. POP3 is working
fine, haven't tried IMAP as I am afraid of losing mail(?)
Meaning to say: when I use IMAP for my Outlook 2013 and on the server there
are 100 mails, will then may Outlook inbox be cleared until just 100 are
left, because it syncs with what it is on the server...?
