I came across this post while trying to find the K9 menu button on my Samsung S3 Mini. The same thing happens, there's no '3 dots' menu, you have to briefly press the bottom left button. I have K9 version5.010 & Android 4.1.2 Same thing seems to be happening within the accounts. If this is not documented somewhere ( apologies if I missed it!), maybe worth putting a note about it somewhere?
