the answer is yes there is. And by default K9 leaves messages on the
POP3 server when it downloads. If you wish to change the settings for a
specific Account see Settings|Account|Fetching Mail" and the second from
the bottom setting.
are you sure that option is for that purpose?
Normally it is used to manually delete mail from Inbox local copy in
case of POP and local cache in case of IMAP, but leave (or remove) them
on server.
