I've written a proposal for copy feedback on the desktop, with a demo you can
try in a browser:

On a successful copy, the system flashes the copied region in place. The
selection colour gets stronger, then fades over about 200 ms. A failed copy
shakes the focused element and plays the alert sound if the user has it on.

A notification with the text in it puts that text somewhere it wasn't before.
Copy a password or a token during a screen share and everyone watching sees it.
Android's copy overlay does this, previewing up to 500 characters. The proposed
flash only marks what was already on screen, so it won't show anything new.
