hi,

i first started to use kicad last week! but i`m very sad that there
are so less components in the library.
i used eagle before, but it is to expensive for an hobby-user. but you
can find thousends of components in their library. look at the
homepage of eagle any user can upload his lib, and many have done this
before!!!

i`ve read so many times, that people created XXX components, but there
is no global place to share them with other users. ok, there are a few
in here, but it`s a real short number :-(

isn`t it possible to create somenthing like the "gedasymbols"-projekt?
ok, there you can`t find mutch components, but the prodject runs just
a short of time.

-----------------------------------------
components which should be in the library
AVR, MSP430, mpcXXX, ... microcontroller (most people i know dont use
pic`s)
more rs232/422/485/CAN-components (like 3V powered max3232 or mcp2515)
flash (like the dataflash from atmel)
more can-transreceiver like sn65hvd230
some ARM`s like atmel sam-series or phillips lpc
more transformators like el30, el38, el42, el48,... from ERA
...
-----------------------------------------

i like kicad and i want to use it in the future, but that is a reason
which makes it hard to work with if you are a n00b ;-).
