Hi. I am about to complete my first KiCad project and I really like the Software. The only thing missing is the ground connections. Now I wanted to create filled areas for this purpose and I succeeded in doing so. The areas are also recognized as "GND" when I right-click on them. Gnd-pads have been connected via the "thermal" option to the area during the filling process. The problem is that KiCad does not consider the pads to be connected although they ARE connected as a matter of fact via the area. Can someone tell me what I have to do to make KiCad see the connection?
One more question: is it possible to graphically deactivate layers? It would be very useful to see just the top or just the bottom layer but the only way I found to achieve that is by using the print => preview function. Any help is greatly appreciated!
