The problem is not about "working in the Philippines". It's about how Philippine companies deal with applicants and candidates.

A lot of those who are currently employed abroad actually had problems looking for jobs locally :). Some of the skilled people that still remained in the Philippines, either found a good enough job, or already has a business of their own (micro isv, etc..)
