Perhaps you could keep us updated on this. :-)

I am also playing around with bootable DVDs. It takes time to buildthe  livecd
image but the larger space will help a lot (am using a1.4Gb rewritable).  I am
thinking of creating an installer/livecd combousing different livecd (plus my
own ) and different distros.

apache,php,fast-cgi,ruby, and rails pre-installed already. Wantedthe GUI to be
light as possible so XFCE is the norm for me. And I thinkDreamLinux or Morphix
is a good base. The live-cd created will be somesort of a ruby/rails demo on
the go. Or perhaps even become a permanentdistro. Who knows. At least I have a
goal :)
