1. Careful with the Math and Physics Subjects. This might cause you to get delayed for a year or so since most are prerequisites of higher ICS subjects. In my case, I got an AF in Math 6 and I failed in Physics 2.
2. Only the basics are taught in the classroom. Be eager to learn what is beyond the four corners of the wall. 3. Some teachers are good (even better), some teachers are nothing. And the latter are the ones who usually love to fail students. I really don't get it why they find fulfillment in that. 4. Use your Internet Laboratory Cards wisely. Do research on good stuff that help you in school. I remembered during one term I used up all my hours playing Ganguro Girls and other games in mini-clips.com. Haha. 5. Borrow books at the library. There a few good and updated ones (well 2 years ago. hehe). 6. If you can do (or afford) summer classes, better advance a few subjects. It serves a buffer just in case you get delayed. Or at least if you've managed to pass all subjects, you'd be pretty much relaxed in your last term. Unlike me who took Math 6, ICS 33 and ICS 40 (simultaneous take) and Thesis during my last term. 7. Participate in mini contests conducted by XCEL (or Quantum) or in any other outside competitions. It helps when you've won in some contests. 8. Make good network of friends. 9. Do sidelines, if you can. But make sure to always prioritize your studies. 10. "Learning is a two-point function: teacher and student." :) Mao ra na akong ma remember. I don't know of it still holds true for today. Hehe. HTH.
