On this particular remembrance day in 2001 we denounce the newest of the foul crimes of U.$. imperialism which intentionally conducts a war of genocide--knowingly creating millions of refugees and then offering food rations to a tiny portion of them, knowingly bombing Red Cross buildings and knowingly interfering with optimal food transport as winter approaches in a largely mountainous country. The reparations owed by the United $tates to the Afghan people go beyond making amends for the most obvious side-effects of the bombing. Imperialist disruption of economic life in Afghanistan including Afghanistan's own agriculture and educational system drags down the way of life of the entire people. For this reason, Afghanistan and other oppressed nations have every right to launch protracted People's War against all invaders and see to it that these invaders are transformed and prevented from launching future aggressive and predatory wars. The people of Afghanistan have suffered most cruelly on account of the imperialist rivalry built into the system of capitalism. Bragging in recent days, former U.S. Government official Zbignew Brzezinski says that U.$. activities in Afghanistan intentionally provoked the Soviet social-imperialists into invading. This imperialist maneuvering and contention going on at least since the late 1970s continues to this day. Now the imperialists support the "Northern Alliance" against the Taliban which until a few months ago the United $tates supported. This sort of maneuvering is so intensive and secretive that the CIA met with Osama bin Laden in July according to the French imperialist mouthpiece Le Figaro. The proletariat cannot even know in perfect detail all of the crimes of the CIA and other imperialist agencies; however, no secret services from any country can squelch the overall truth. Marxism- Leninism-Maoism arises from the conditions of life itself. The work of all Maoist martyrs continues.
