from a usability perspective, a tab bar would suck. given that a chat application should focus on chat, having such a weighty bit of UI would detract from the focus. kopete could really use less rather than more UI. what about having a single viewport with the ability to have multiple entries in it, including the ability to expand or retract additional information by clicking on hotzones. in other words, something much like the amarok Context sidebar. -- Aaron J.
