And how will letting an international body control it screw it up any further than it already is ?

Mainly because I can vote and have some effect on the registry in my country. Once it's removed to the U.N. (or wherever), I am at the whim of whatever random country feels like messing with technical issues they don't understand.

But I don't get a say. Why should 300 million seppos (well, really only about 100 million bother to vote) get a say on the running of a global infrastructure ?
