Check out Rekall <http://www.rekallrevealed.org>, <http://www.thekompany.com/projects/rekall/> and <http://www.totalrekall.co.uk/> I have played around with this and it is fairly impressive. It compares very favorably to Access and Paradox (used to be a Borland product which then went to Corel). This one doesn't show up in Freshmeat and I can't remember how I even found out about it.
