Again: SVN is a drop-in for CVS. For 90% of the commands, the only
difference is "svn" instead of "cvs". Or is that too challenging ...?

When you're using a tool that has a built-in CVS integration module, you oftentimes do not have the luxury of reconfiguring it to replace CVS with SVN.

And one usually does not have the luxury of changing tools to suit the needs of the SCM.
