I suspect VCR tapes are prohibited because they really should be recycled instead. I know it's fun to talk about "those stupid environmentalists who don't even know what rust is" but it's not realistic.

Of course, I have always had the idea that if they took all of the plastic junk they have produced since the invention of plastic, and laid it end to end - IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA.

It's all about thermal depolymerization. This technology could really save us. I don't understand why it isn't being pursued more actively.

I still believe in making things out of REAL material. So it weighs more, maybe we wouldn't be carrying so much stuff around. Yes, I'm old fashioned and I admit it.

I consider plastic to be real material and I like things made out of plastic as long as they are well made. The problem is things are designed to be as cheap as possible because that is what we tell them by the way we ruthlessly compare prices.
