Seagate bakes security into hard drive

I am generally not in favor of hardware encryption. What if it is found to be poorly implemented? You have to buy a new hard drive. It probably requires some special drivers which we will not get for Linux or will get only binaries.

This has nothing to do with data security.

This has everything to do with DRM.
