Phew. I was just about to enter full overcautious mode...

(A4Tech has a mouse to where the pad is surrounded by a copper coil and the 
mouse itself has the counterpart, so it's an open transformer. Pretty neat.
Yes, you still need to power the *pad*, but you have a wireless mouse without 
the weight of a battery.)

About the [EMAIL PROTECTED] cables - some hooks in the walls plus maybe some 
u-bar or the 
like, on different height level per 'puter might help. Essentially getting 
the cables off the ground is a good thing. Multi-outlet power strips mounted 
under the table helps, too.
