Perl, Python and Ruby have interactive environments where you can type code in and see it evaluated on the fly. Is that what you mean?Perl has an interactive environment? Since when? How do I get into it?
You can use the perl debugger, or you can use a framework like Eclipse with the EPiC plugin (Perl)
