jumping in late:

Can the TV have a live S-Vid _and_ coax in at the same time? I would doubt
it.
Usually
though it wont show both at the same time, most have input lines to select one or the other either by an input button or a channel IE 91 for input 2 92 for input 3 .... coax is usually input 1 and you choose channels thru that.... USUALLY

Remember, I have 3 inputs on the TV and 4 peripherals to input ... unless
we drop the DVD player and play DVDs on xena.
using RCA means you can get a "cleaner box" and umm "clean" macrovision and other impurities away last one I bought was $70 at willies

Yes but see above. Are there S-Video switches/splitters? Flexibility is
more important to me than marginal improvements in signal to the TV.
YES, there are S-Video switch boxes expect to pay a little more but $ is what makes the world spin

BTW, the documents are all found (and the study is cleaner). The PVR-150
says it sent me a S-Vid -> Composite converter, but I don't remember it
and can't find it. It's not the sort of thing that would get discarded or
moved -- not around here.
I dont think ive ever goten one, but I might have discarded it.

Who's handling sound in all this? Also, what's the story with that little
wire that CD/DVD payers ship with that's supposed to go to pins on the
sound card? What's that all about?
sound should be wired into the card, not the sound card, you want to avoid that at many costs.

BTW, I seem to type faster than this Gyration keyboard can keep up with.
If you knew how fast I type, that would shock you.
fun fun

but a kewl keyboard anyway
