Just figured out what you meant by using a VCR. Unfortunately my VCR is
equally ancient, and has only 2 component input and output- it can't do
stereo sound. Sounds like a nice patch solution, but it won't be long term,
unless I find a cheap VCR with 2 component sound inputs.
