On a Solaris_86 system would there be a way to mount and read a disk drive that is partitioned with Linux LVM? I have no useful guidance from Google searches.
Without doing any searching around, I'm guessing the answer to this question is, "probably not," or, "not without a tremendous amount of pain."
Solaris is all about compatibility with itself, but it seems to be a little behind the times as far as interoperability is concerned. Then again, I wouldn't imagine something like the Linux LVM being something that would easily be adopted into Solaris, just based on complexity concerns. But, since this is all speculation, i could be completely wrong. :)
Good luck. If you find anything out, please post your results as I'd be interested in how to do this as well!
