On a Solaris_86 system would there be a way to mount and read a disk

Probably not unless somebody created a FUSE version.
Lately I've been taking to putting drives into external USB cases and
then letting a VMWare image export them in a manner that can be accessed
readily.
Solaris is all about compatibility with itself, but it seems to be a
little behind the times as far as interoperability is concerned.
Hmph. So, Mr. Interoperable, explain to me why I can't mount a default
FreeBSD disk under Linux?
