Uh, you?
Get a couple hundred foot spool of CAT-6, a *good* crimping tool (spend
some money) and a bag of RJ-45's.
A trip to Graybar would be recommended. They even had a retail office
in San Diego last time I checked (a couple years ago).
To return to a pair of previously hashed-out discussions:
Consider the cost of having to trouble-shoot one or more hand-crimped
cables, and
rank that against the cost of premade cables. You might not be able
to buy them in length increments less than one foot, so neatness will
suffer a bit.
The premade cords may be the way to go.
Hand-made power cables have a much higher probability of success, but
if you can buy them with one end connector already attached your labor
is halved.
Hand made power cables? That sounds like the way to go. I will have to
look into that.
