1 in 10 premade cables I buy fail. I *never* have that high a failure rate when I make the cables myself.
And you buy these premade cables from Graybar? I have put into production a hundred or two Graybar premade cables over the past year and not had a single bad one.
I have recently resolved to go with only premade. Getting the length right to within a foot is close enough as my own premade cable accuracy isn't much better.
And I suck at making cables. It takes forever. And it isn't a skill my employer should be paying me to get good at.
