Get a different pre-made cable vendor. I have never even heard of that
high a failure rate. In 12 yrs of data center work, I can't even recall
a bad cable right out of the bag, and of the thousands of new, pre-made,
cables I have put into service, only a very few have failed, if any at
all.
The cables I see fail are usually ones that other people have made
themselves (I gave up on this practice long ago), or the odd cable that
was at the bottom of the junk drawer, or that has been kicking around
the lab for years, etc.
Brand new, straight from the bag, CAT 5e or CAT 6, with stress relief
and boots. I have had no failures/problems in the last couple thousand
cables. I have been using GoCables.com
