rpmforge's database often getes into a wack state. currently it is in
one of those wack states.
try:
yum --disablerepo=rpmforge update
and see if that helps.
rpmforge is one of those repos i go to only if i need to -- it has
incompatible packages that tend to break things, even if they say they
do not.
