Ernie Ball got way out in the public to explain how they were strong armed into paying for what was found. Then the big ones were the school systems which were getting hammered by Microsoft/BSA until the LTSPK12 folks helped a few schools go 100% Linux and save money too. It also happened at a time just before a national school system conference and a good number of sessions were on the Microsoft/BSA tactics, the threats, the costs, and the solution, which was Linux and OSS. Microsoft almost lost a huge percentage of the US school systems but backed off to save themselves from it. Unfortunately, those schools then just continue hoping the BSA does not come back. After these things, it's been pretty quiet in the press with regards to who the BSA is going after. Another reason could be the use of contractual NDA's which prevent companies like Earnie Ball from publicly stating the facts of the case. What ever it is, we're not hearing much about these bullying tactics any more. Doug -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
